Hi I am looking to buying a private property with a friend. We are quite interested in Waterfront@ Faber and Paronama. Can I check if 2 unrelated people can use a joint cpf for this? Thanks

Hi Steph, yes both of you could purchase together and qualify under the joint singles scheme. For your info, the showflat of Waterfront @ Faber will be demolished soon to make way for construction and I'm still waiting from the developer note. So perhaps you and your friend would like to view first? Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

Regards

Good evening Steph,

Both of you are able to purchase the private condo as friends (unrelated parties) and use your CPF OA funds to finance the monthly mortgage repayments.

You can choose to purchase it under joint tenancy or tenancy in common.

If you need any assistance or advice in your property purchase, feel free to contact me. I can forward you a flowchart of a typical private purchase and will advise further with a financial aid.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Warmest Regards,

Evening Steph,

You can purchase private property with total strangers and choose the manner of holding to be joint tenancy or tenancy in common. As for mortgage, you will be eligible to utilize CPF for the monthly installment.

Do contact me for further discussion.

Dear Steph

Yes, two unrelated person can purchase a private property under Joint Tenancy or Tenancy in Common. However, both person should not separately own a HDB unit which is under min. occupation period (MOP).

There is no joint-CPF. YOu can each use your own CPF to contribute to the purchase and pay installment for the property.

Please msg me at 96855070  if you have further queries or you can drop me an email kevinchung.sg@gmail.com
