Hi... i am currently a owner of pvt apartment but am thinking of switching to a HDB. As i am a single what are the options do i have beside the resale market? Am i eligible for DBSS or BTO?

Hi,

If you are above 35 years old, your option is resale HDB. But you would need to dispose off your private property within 6 months after your HDB purchase.

Currently HDB does not allow Singles to apply for BTO /DBSS yet, though the rule might change in the future. Even if it happens, with your private property owner status now, the current rule of 30 months wait after disposal of private property is likely to be still be valid then.

So you might have to plan carefully for your next move.

As a Single, you wont be eligible for new HDB projects (be it BTO, DBSS or EC)

To be eligible for resale market, you must be at least a 35 years old Singaporean single. If not, you cant purchase any resale HDB at all.

If you are eligible to purchase, you must dispose off your interest in private property within 6 months from completion.
