Good morning b,

BTO, resale flat bought with CPF housing grant and new EC are considered subsidised flats.

If you are buying a resale HDB (without CPF housing grant), no resale levy is payable.

Hi,

Resale levy is only applicable if you purchase another subsidized flat (like new BTO, new EC etc.). For resale 4-room from open market, it is not subsidized housing hence you need not pay resale levy.

Initially we have decided to try to write to HDB for early sale but since it was only 3 months left, eventually we waited for another 3 months while we looked for our next property. Hi,

1) No resale levy incurred when you upgrade from a 3-rm BTO to a resale 4-rm flat.
2) Only if you decided to upgrade to a 4-rm BTO you will incur a resale levy.
