Hi I am a US citizen and I am interested in buying a residential property as investment and for personal use in the future. As a foreigner, should I buy condo or executive condo or apartment? I am looking for a 2 beds, 1 or 2 baths property with a price tag below S$500k. Are there many options? Am I eligible to get a loan from Singapore banks? I live in US right now. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ying He, as a US citizen, you would be treated like a local buying your 1st property in Singapore and stamp duty will be payable at 3% with no additional charge. And yes, you will be eligible for loan as long as terms and conditions are met by the bank.
