Hi,
I am a single Singapore citizen with age > 21yrs.

I want to buy a HDB flat together with my mom who is still holding China passport. I hear that under current HDB non-citizenship scheme we are only eligible to buy a re-saled HDB flat from the open market. Here I have some questions:
1. If I am to apply the long-term visit pass (LTVP? for my mom, how long it normally takes for the approval?
2. After we get the LTVP, what are the important points I should take note when buying the re-sale flat under the non-citenship scheme?
3. When singing up the property buying contract, must my mom be present in Singapore in person, or I just need to show her LTVP will do?
4. As my mom has no CPF account, I will be the only one who is giong to pay for the mortage. Doese that mean her name will not appear in the property ownership paper? In that case, is her signature on the contract of buying the property still required?
Many thanks!

Hi PinkyRain,
Yes. You can buy a resale flat under non-citizen family scheme with your parents.

1.This depends on how long the ICA will take to approve her application.
2.You have to make sure to dispose any private property within 6 months after you purchased your flat.
3.She no need to present on the first appointment however you need to photocopy her passport and other documents.
4.Her name will appear as occupier therefore her signature doesn't required on the those purchase contract.
