Hi I am a Singapore citizen and my soon to be wife is a foreigner who currently working in Singapore and holding a employment pass.
We are married soon in few month time.


May I know if we are entitled to buy a HDB resale flat and also able to get loan from HDB?

Are we able to start now and search for a resale HDB flat or have to wait till we get our ROM cert and be eligible to buy?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Good morning,

You can purchase under non-citizen spouse scheme. You do not need to apply for approval from MOM as your spouse is under employment pass. However, the loan will only be computed under your income and credit status as you will be the owner and your spouse will be the essential occupier.
