Hi,
I am a divorcee who have recently obtained permission from HDB to sell my matrimonial flat in the open market before my Minimum Occupancy Period (MOP) is fulfilled. Although I am completing the sales transaction soon, there is still approximately 2 years to go before the 5 years MOP is up. Do I have to wait for the MOP to be officially fulfilled before I can go ahead with the purchase even though I am not in ownership of any property?

I hope to seek advice from people out there who have been through similar experiences. The situation is rather tricky as I am not in physical possession of a HDB apartment but yet still appear to be under the 5-year MOP ruling. As I need accommodation pretty soon after the sales of my matrimonial home, I would definitely love to resolve this mystery to understand my eligibility to purchase an apartment.
