I am a buyer. I encounter a situation that my agent who didn’t represent me well and she revealed my personal information to seller’s agent without my consent. Even she didn’t share with me any discussion/planning with seller agent , and I felt that she is more to representing the seller. I did the talk, I did the finding of this house, I did the contract drafting, I did my own market analysis. I felt like I am representing myself more than she representing me. Also, she did not protect me when comes to related to legal terms and did not place buyer’s interest as priority. Most of the time, I’m protecting myself. Sometime, she was uncontactable especially after signed the private agreement with seller on making interest fee deposit (private agreement to reserve the house and only sellers and buyer’s signatories). I did not sign any exclusive agreement with her, only agreed on the commission rate over WhatsApp. Can I stop engaging her based on my situation? Will I get into trouble if I don’t want to engage her anymore. I called the estate agency to seek for help, but they pushed me around and no call back. Should I go straight to CEA? As I don’t want to blow up the matter that I’m afraid to lose this dream house. Can someone enlighten me please?
