Hi HDB guru, I'd like to ask Q regarding withdrawal of co-onwer's name.
My husband is a co-owner with his brother, sister and his mum. His mum is main owner but his sister is in charge of paying the HDB loan now. He didnt contribute anything to this loan so far.
Now we are just married and want to have our own lovenest. May I ask:

1. How is the procedure of withdrawal of co-owner's name?
2. If HDB grants this withdrawal:
- is there any fee that the remaining owners have to pay for this withdrawal?
- do the interest rate and principle unchange and they just continue making pmt and interest as usual?
- does my husband have to withdraw before we can apply the resale flat or new HDB flat if we want to be first timer?

1) If your loan is under bank; u need to sell your part share to the existing owners.If its hdb loan u may go to hdb branch office and withdraw yr name. They need to return to you your cpf funds contributed towards the house.
2) U must remove your name first as the transaction also takes about 3 months to execute. Once done; u may then buy resale or direct from hdb as a first timer subject to further check.

If your loan is from a bank, you’ll need to sell your share to the existing owners.
Visit an HDB branch office to withdraw your name.
They’ll return your CPF funds contributed toward the house.
HDB Loan:
For HDB loans, remove your name first (this process takes about 3 months).
After that, you can buy a resale flat or directly from HDB , PLS DOUBLE CHECK WITH HDB ...
