Hi gurus,i bought a resale flat with my ex-wife 10 years back with Cpf grants and HDB loan.When we divorced,we surrendered back the flat to HDB including all the grants given and we received no cash proceeds.I am looking to purchase a resale flat in tampines with my current wife and kids.Are we still considered 1st timers and still eligible for any grants??

Evening Fairuz, Since you have obtain housing grant from your previous purchase, you will not be eligible for housing grant. However, if your spouse have not purchased any HDB unit directly from HDB or resale unit with housing grant, she will still be eligible to obtain her share. Do note that she will need to adhere to the income ceiling requirement and must also be SC. Do feel free to contact me if you require further assistance.
