Hi Gurus, my son,who is single 35yr old and is going to buy a 5rm resale hdb flat on his own near my home, his salary is more than $5kp/m, may i know what grants is he entitle to? and can we as parents move over to stay with him so that we can rent out our flat(8yrs) to subsidise his loan.I do own pte apt.

Evening Mdm Heng,

For single scheme, the income ceiling for HDB loan and CPF grant is at max of $5k. Since your son is earning more than that, he's not eligible for any grant. He can still obtain mortgage loan from bank for the purchase.
