Hi gurus, my gf currently owns a hdb with her mum and we are actually considering to get a new flat (hdb or private). which are the options we should take? get a hdb under my name on the singles scheme or private property under my name? (we do not want to incur extra stamp duties nor pulling out her name to topup her cpf). please kindly advise.

Afternoon, To purchase property with your gf, without having to remove her ownership status nor her mother to utilize extra funds, you can only look at private property. This is sunjected to your gf fulfilling the MOP requirement on the current unit which she is holding. Do feel free to contact me for further discussion. Hi, I would feel that, if you are above 35 yrs old, get a resale HDB. You can get 5-Rm HDB, while your girlfriend side left it as it is. Complete your 5 yrs MOP, then get a private condo and rent out your HDB then. Feel free to contact me if you are searching for HDB.
