Hi Gurus,
I'm an SPR and owning a 3RM HDB flat. I would like to buy a condo which is expected to obtain TOP by 2017. According to latest law, I need to sell my HDB when I buy a condo. Since the condo is expected to obtain TOP by 2017, how long I can keep my HDB before selling it? Can I keep till 2017 OR I have to sell it immediately after the down payment for condo?

Yes, you can keep the HDB till 2017 and only sell it when you collected the key of the new condo.

Afternoon Ravi,

Upon fulfilling the MOP of your HDB unit, you are eligible to purchase private property. As PR, you are required to sale the HDB unit within 6 months from the key collection date of your private property.

Not to worry. You only have to sell off your HDB 6 months after keys collection of the new property.
