Hi gurus,

I am planning to purchase a condo which is currently tenanted.
Why is it that the sales and purchase process needs 8 weeks to complete? My objective is to maximize rent from the time i hand a deposit payment.

Dear Cheerios,

Buying a property is unlike going to a supermarket to purchase groceries where all you need is to hand the groceries you have chosen to cashier to scan the barcode and you pay money.

There are various administrative and legal works that are required to be carried out (conveyancing) in order to transfer the property over from the seller to you and background checks will be carried out by your appointed lawyer before completion. This will likely take more than 6 weeks for all these to be completed.
