Do take note that as both of you are SPR, you will be liable for a 5% ABSD.

Have you worked out on the sums for the downpayment? Have you also talked to a banker on your loan eligibility? Do you need assistance in this matter?

Good evening Mr. Wong,

You can start the hunt in early June and proceed with the other administration like mortgage and understanding the resale procedure.
As SPR, you can only utilize bank mortgage. 80% loan with 5% down payment in cash and balance 15% can be made using CPF. ABSD of 5% must be made with cash too. However, standard stamp duty and legal fee can be made using your CPF fund.

Yes, you can start hunting now. Start to have the feel, see the available layout and fine tune your requirement. But the 1st thing to do is to get the loan IPA from bank if you and getting loan to finance the property. I can assist to compute the estimated loan quantum for the purchase. You can first enagge an agent by early June, and work with your agent in search for your dream house from then. By the time your wife PR reaches 3 years, I believe you should have shortlist those HDB you wants. That would also be end June.
