Hi Guru,

May I find out from you on the following case ?

If my girlfriend and I are both Singapore Citizen.

But my girlfriend has already bought a resale HDB flat together with her sister in the past. So she is a co-owner of this flat. They are both single when they bought the flat.

We intend to get marry in the near future, is it possible for us to buy a HDB flat ?

I do not have any house in my name.

With my girlfriend as an occupier and myself as the owner, can we buy a new/resale HDB flat ?

Any help given is much appreciated.

Evening Sze,

Every SC couple, singles or PR couple are only eligible to 1 HDB unit at any one time. Hence, for you to purchase any HDB unit with your partner, she is to transfer her share to her sister.
