Afternoon Dr. Chee,

You are eligible to purchase resale HDB unit after you have reached the age of 35. There is no ruling indicating that you cannot get married after getting resale HDB unit under single scheme. However, if you intend to purchase another HDB unit, after fulfilling MOP, with your spouse, you will be required to sell away your current unit.

Hi Dr Chee

You can buy under single scheme when you hit 35.
You can get married after you own a flat under single scheme.
You just need to inform HDB on your marital status. You might also include your spouse as a co owner, or you can just add her as an occupier.

I am glad to tell you that you can proceed with your plans to buy a HDB under Single Scheme and then get married.

The standard HDB rules applies after your purchase, you will need to fulfill 5-years MOP period before you can sell or rent out your HDB flat.
