Both EC and PTE brings its pros & cons. Based on the limited info, its hard to make better recommendations. More importantly, may I know what are your objectives and requirements? Property is a long-term commitment, it should meet your financial objectives in life and/or improve your quality of life, otherwise it can be a burden. Hi,

As much as ECs and Condominiums offer the same lifestyle in terms of facilities, they do differ in flexibility and prestige. While ECs follow more on the HDB regulations - 5 years MOP & restriction to selling to foreigners before 10 years, condominiums are generally flexible and more prestigious. I always advise my clients that as long as their finances allow them to swing the condo way, I would advise for that. This is because condos have a greater rate of returns- high rental yield & capital appreciation. Hence the financial objectives of gain is met at an exponentially faster pace with condo than EC.
