Hi Guru, currently I and my husband is staying in a 4rm Hdb (2nd owner for about 11 years) in bukit panjang with 2 children,but we intend to sell and buy a flat in CCK (from resale market) near school.Do we need to pay any levy?

Afternoon Jes,

Levy is only payable when you have enjoyed subsidy once and will your second subsidy. In your case, even if you have utilized housing grant for the first unit, the purchase of resale flat will not result you in paying the resale levy.

No levy is payable.

If you have formerly bought a BTO or resale flat with grant, and now you have the intention to purchase another BTO, then you will need to pay for the levy.

however, do note that since yr intending to sell and buy eg.

1. buy 1st, sell later
2. sell 1st, buy later
3. contra

each methods has its pros and cons.
