It depends on when and whether you have sold your first subsidized flat. Are you still staying in the same flat? Yes resale levy is only payable in cash. I have worked with similar cases and will be glad to share the best approach.

Hi, resale levy is not paid during the point of booking but it is a few weeks after while you are at the law firm. And yes levy is only in cash. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

Hi there,

The resale levy is paid at the point of selling your HDB flat (deducted from the sales proceeds), or taking possession of your new EC unit; any shortfall from the sales proceeds has to be topped up with cash.

Hi

Depending on individual circumstances. If you have sold your HDB flat, you will have to pay HDB the resale levy before you booked your EC. However, if you are still staying in your HDB flat, then it will be deducted from your sales proceed.

The resale levy has to be paid in cash to HDB. If you have an existing flat, the resale levy is usually deducted from your sales proceed upon the completion of the sale of your flat.
