Hi everyone

I would appreciate if some answers can be provided.

I work and lived in the UK now and owned a property in the UK. I am a Singaporean.
I am considering to purchase a HDB flat as we have plans to return in the near future. I used to owned a HDB property and sold about 10 years ago.

Does the current rules allows me to buy a HDB flat in the open market? I have no intention to rent out.

Hi Jim, yes of course you could since you are a local. And pls bear in mind that once you bought a resale HDB unit, you are suppose to dispose off your overseas property.

Evening,

If you are looking at resale HDB unit with bank loan, you will not face any restriction other then the need to remove property ownership on your UK property within 6 months from key collection.

Hi,

Yes you can purchase hdb resale, but you would be required to dispose your UK overseas property within 6 months of key collection to hdb. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans further.
