Evening Hendra,

Your spouse purchased the current HDB unit under the older housing eligibility scheme, where SPR siblings are able to joint name to purchase the resale HDB unit. Under today's ruling, only single SC, above the age of 35 are eligible to own HDB unit under single scheme. Therefore, if your spouse opt to withdraw her name from the current unit and her sister is not eligible to purchase the unit under single scheme, they would then end up having to sell that unit in the open market.

Hi Mike.. Thanks for the reply.
One more question. if her sister convert to SC. Does her sister eligible to own HDB unit under single scheme? Her sister already above 35 and married.
