Hi there,

In order to purchase, you would require to form a family nucleus, both husband and wife's name are required to be part of ownership or essential occupier.

If you would like to purchase a HDB, you would need to dispose the private property and there is a 15month waiting period before you could purchase a HDB if you are below the age of 55yrs old.

Hi,

You need to include his name to form a family nucleus to be eligible to buy a resale HDB. Hence the private condo must be sold. To own 2 properties, you can consider to decouple and take out your name and purchase one on your sole name.

You and your husband will be required to sell the condo, wait out for a period of 15 months before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB. If both of you are aged 55 and above, you may purchase a resale 4 room HDB after the sale of the condo.

Condo has to be sold, regardless whether you are purchasing under sole ownership or joint ownership as HDB considers husband and wife a single entity, thus the eligibility criteria to own a HDB is applicable to both husband and wife.

Hi,

1) A married couple is considered a single entity when comes to buying an HDB flat.
2) Therefore, both of you must not own any private residential property and observe a 15-month wait-out period if you are under 55 years old after selling, before being eligible to buy an HDB flat.
3) If you are both 55 years old and above, you can skip the 15-month wait-out period if buying a 4-rm and smaller flat.
