Unfortunately, you cannot use the Grant to pay for monthly installments. You can only use it as a lump sum to reduce your total HDB loan or offset the flat's purchase price.

Unfortunately no, from the HDB website, it indicates that you can only use it to offset the purchase price or to do a one-time offset of the existing home loan.

The Family Grant or Top-Up Grant received by core applicants can be used to:

Offset the purchase price of the flat
Reduce the housing loan required for the flat purchase
