Hi, yes you could purchase a resale EC as long as you are a local and having stayed in the HDB unit for at least 5 years.

If you are looking at upgrading to EC once your current HDB unit have attained MOP, it would be possible even if the EC is just 5 years old. But if you arwant looking at keeping both HDB and the resale EC, you or your spouse have to be SC to do so.

Have you met your MOP of 5 years? If so, you can purchase 2nd residential property. Resale EC & PC are both possible, and you can keep both hdb & condo if its SC household and if you have the financial means to do so. Thanks and hope to assist with your housing plans further.
