Hi All , just want to ask what are the actions or steps can be taken if seller not moved out by the end of 3 months extensions stay for resale transaction? I bought flat without agent and transaction is completed , 3 months extension stay is to be due soon but seller side didn’t confirm any move out date. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

1) The seller must shift out latest on the last day of the permitted extension period.
2) This is a special arrangement that the HDB only allowed this on a buy/sell transaction.
3) No HDB owners are supposed to allow someone else to occupy the HDB flat other than the owners and registered occupier during MOP.
4) Therefore If the seller didn't move out as promised. They are violating the HDB rules and regulations. You may raise this issue with the HDB.
