Hi all, I was thinking of investing into a second property. 1st property fully paid. Budget $800k and below. 5 year later must sell. Pls advise on where, what and when to buy? Thanks

In this current Buyers market where prices remain soft, it makes sense to look into something for investment.

I would suggest that you look at resale units as they are comparatively cheaper and you can receive rental income immediately while waiting for the price to appreciate.

I believe there are a number of suitable projects, however, the potential upside for these projects to be sold 5 years later is probably not high for such investment. If you are looking instead to stay in the project and ride on the capital appreciation over a longer period, it could be a better and more appealing option. Otherwise, if you keep a look out at what is available in the market and do your due diligence, you will find that there are quite a number of other investment opportunities which generate decent returns which could be liquidated more easily.
