Question here is why would agents tell you that buying a unit at Dawson be a big mistake? And also why have you shortlisted only looking at Dawson Skyville particularly? Reason for choosing Skyville is because it's near my work place and also one of the newer options is the area which seems like a pleasant neighborhood.
Agents have told me it would be a bad choice because of the price point it's at now, something about definitely making a loss and would tell me to consider a condo instead. (Which I'm definitely not considering.)
As for financing the loan, I'm tentatively looking at using 50% of my monthly OA contribution to finance the loan and will use cash for the balance mortgage.
And yes, definitely confused with what to do now.
