Hi Agents, I'm a PR holder. My Mum and I bought an resale HDB flat. Now I'm getting married with my fiancé who's a SC and we are considering getting a BTO after married. But my friend told me I need to sell my resale flat, is that true? 2nd question is, if I do need to sell, when must I sell it? Can I sell it after getting keys of the new BTO flat? Or do I have to sell before applying for the BTO flat? Pls help. Thx!

Hi,
Yes you have to sell your current hdb, but you are allow to sell it up to 6 months after collected key for the new BTO.

You have to sell the resale hdb flat, not before applying for BTO, but within 6 months of getting the BTO keys.

Afternoon,

You can apply for the BTO with your partner. But do note that you need to sell away the unit or your share within 6 months from key collection. Should you opt to do part sales to your mother, she would have to obtain loan or pay for the funds that you have contributed to the existing unit.
