Dear sir/mdm,

For such income level, it is quite likely that appeal will be rejected. Is there any reason for you to lock in on this EC choice in the first place since you are aware that you are already outside the income ceiling? Given that there is a 5 years MOP period and a construction period for the project to wait out, even if entry price is indeed attractive for an EC, you can probably have missed out other capital growth opportunities if you switch your purchase to other private condo or new launches.

Hi,

If your commission is on a monthly basis, averaging about $6k, then it is quite unlikely your application will be approved. If it's a one-off, then you could try to appeal on this.

Alternatively, you may wish to consider private condo instead. Given your income, there are some condos which has great potential, in locations much better than ECs. You may consider these condos.

Hi,

1) The household income limit for a new EC is capped at $16k only.
2) If you are receiving an average of $6k commission monthly on top of your basic income, then you are no longer eligible for the purchase.
3) The chance of successful appeal over this matter is rather slim.
4) I would suggest you consider a private residential property in your situation.
