Asked by
Hello,

I am HDB buyer, i noticed my OTP page 4 indicate that the within 14 days after exercised OTP both buyer and seller need to submit the resale application to HDB.

I submit the resale application on the same day with the day of exercise of OTP. My HDB dashboard indicate that the seller must submit within 7 days after my submission.

a) Can i know that whether i can extend the dateline for seller submission?
b) In these case, whether the buyer early submission is it breach of OTP?
c) The OTP deposit is refundable , in the event this OTP is lapse.

Thanks all.

This becomes an issue when you act without an agent. Your question now should be directed to HDB for assistance. OTP deposit is non-refundable at this stage unless the transaction is rejected by HDB.

You maybe required to re-submit your resale application and pay the resale application fees again to match with seller's submission schedule, but please contact HDB as soon as possible on this to see if there is anyway to remedy the situation.

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 14 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

Hi,

1) You did not breach the terms and conditions as stated in the OTP.
2) Submit within 14 days means the submission can be on the 1st day up to the 14th day.
3) Yes, you're correct that the seller must submit within 7 days after your submission. The resale application can be rejected by the HDB if this timeline is not met.

(a) You don't have the right to provide an extension to the seller on the resale application submission. The timeline is determined by the HDB.
(b) Please see the answer on (3)
(c) Yes, the deposit is refundable if this application is rejected by the HDB.

Please give me a thumbs-up if the answer provided is relevant to your main concern. Thanks!!!

Hope the above answers your main concerns, but if there are more queries, please feel free to contact me at 90110636  , or email: ling.ck7@gmail.com if more information is needed.
I'll be glad to assist.

Best regards
