Hello, I am a Singaporean PR and would like to ask if I am only eligible to purchase a resale HDB next year, eg, May 2017, does it mean I can only start house hunting after May or can I start house hunting earlier?

Hi,

I will advice you to start looking for a suitable house mid-end March to early April.

There is no point starting to house hunt now, as it is quite unlikely Sellers can wait till May next year to conclude a deal.

Afternoon,

SPR buyers for HDB resale unit must fulfill the following requirements:

1) Fulfill SPR holding for more than 3 years.
2) Purchase the unit with SC or another SPR owner or essential occupier.
3) Obtain sufficient fund to finance the mortgage.
