Hi,

If you own this HDB with your spouse, and it has appreciated a fair bit, you might want to consider selling the HDB and purchasing a private property on your indivdual names.

Reason being, with an outstanding loan for your HDB, the next property loan can only loan max 50%, ABSD of 7% is also payable (if SC) and CPF that can be utilized will also be restricted. Its quite restrictive and not easy to achieve your investment goals this way.

Why would you want to own 2 properties? Also are you keen to pay ABSD for the 2nd property? Otherwise, would you like to know how you can potentially save on ABSD? Note that such arrangements should be within your financial means.
