Hi, are you selling private property or hdb? In both cases, usually it is better for the seller to know of the valuation. For HDB, knowing the valuation allows them to know how much COV there are for the unit and better manage their expectations, and allows them to better price their unit depending on the condition. For Private Property, with higher quantum it is more important as the valuation amount directly affects the loan amount, If the valuation is $2million across the banks, and you sell at $3million, there is a huge gap which they are unable to cover with loan and will usually result in certain buyers not being able to proceed with purchases. Knowing valuation helps to make the transactions smoother and have a basic understanding of roughly what your unit is worth.

Hi,

Are you referring to HDB purchase? You as a buyer are not required to share, but as a seller they may have valid reasons to know such as negative sale appeal with cpf or this could be an estate sale or divorce case which they need a valuation report to follow up with their law firm processing.

In any case, good to ask seller or seller agent directly for your scenario. Hope the above clarifies.
