Dear Guru, currently i had just sold off my 5 room flat , my wife and myself are looking for a 4 rooms hdb flat near sembawang , we would like to know if the new flat cost 500k , how much cpf and cash i need to pay for the flat. Currently we have 300k in OA account and intend to use up all for hdb buying. We would like to know also can we pay the new flat using cpf and the remaining 200k over using bank loan? As we do not want to give up half of the cash sale proceed to hdb. please help to answer my query. Thank alot

Hi Wang,

Seems like you dont have any outstanding housing loan at the moment. Thus 20% downpayment is needed if you using bank loan to purchase your 4RM HDB.

5% cash and 15% CPF will make up the 20% component.

If I am not wrong, if you are not doing contra, you wont have to surrender your cash sale proceeds back to HDB, if needed, only 50% of cash proceeds.
