Dear all gurus,

My fiancee and I have appealed successfully to HDB for buying a new flat even though I am still subject to the Minimum Occupancy Period (MOP) for my previous flat which had been sold before 5 years was up. I am sure that I can buy a BTO, but am uncertain if I can also purchase EC or DBSS? This is because these two categories apparently fall under the charge of private developers but yet potential buyers need to adhere to HDB guidelines (that is MOP of 5 years must be fulfilled). Hope the gurus here can advise me on this.

Hi,

As this is an unique case, it will be best if you take one step further and further clarify with the hdb officer that you have been liasing with, with regards to your eligiblity for Dbss and EC. An email clarification will make things easier for your planning.

Thanks and hope to assist with your purchase plans further when your plans are ready.

Warm regards

Hi,
Theoretically, you don't own any property now, hence should be eligible to purchase EC. But Since you have the approval from HDB, best is to clarify with HDB.
To assist and advise you more in details, kindly drop me an email for me to share.

I am contactable at my mobile or email.
