As per fellow real estate agent advices, you may like to look out for housing around
- Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3,
- around Serangoon Garden Area,
- Hougang Avenue 2.
That pretty much gives you idea on the nearby housing availability. Alternatively, you may also enquire directly at the school as they have a preferred bus service provider for your children.
- Landed houses behind the school (around Serangoon garden estate) range from $5,000 to $20,000 depending on age, size and condition. The newer/ bigger houses generally command a higher range in terms on rent. We have terraces, corner terraces, Semi-Detached and Detached/ Bungalows.
- Private condominium, for e.g. Terrasse located near the school, (newly completed this year) has apartments with 4 bedrooms duplex, about 220 sqm/ 2,400sqft is looking at $6,500 range. Terrasse is also 4 bus stops away from the school. Price range in other condos is about $5,000 to $12,000 for 4 bedrooms around the Serangoon area.
As your relocation to Singapore is happening in 6 months time, there more likely to have changes in terms on current available properties and their price for rent. I like to suggest that it will be at best that your children have gotten a place in Lycee Francais de Singapour before you start looking for a place to rent. There's also a waiting list for French expatriates who like to enrol their children into the school. i am a parent myself too thus i understand how challenging it can be.
