Yes, you can purchase another residential property should you decide to forgo your BTO application. Otherwise, you will need to wait for the 5-year MOP (after 5 years completion, total 10 years) before you can purchase another property.

Hi,

1) You have to be aware of the consequences to buy a residential property while waiting for the BTO.
2) First of all, you will stand to lose this selected BTO once you buy another residential property.
3) You properly already completed the stage of signing an agreement for lease if you are saying you are waiting for the BTO completion.
4) You will lose the 5% flat purchase price. You are also banned from applying for another new HDB flat, new EC, resale flat with CPF Housing Grant, and resale flat that has been announced for SERS.
5) But you are still free to buy a resale HDB flat.
