Hi,
1) You are the essential occupier even when the current flat is solely owned by your spouse.
2) Although your intention is only to use your name to apply with your children.
3) But you will notice that once you indicate you are married, your spouse's name has to be inserted into the application as an occupier.
4) Therefore it became your whole family is applying for a BTO instead of only you and your children.
5) You should already be aware that once your application for BTO is successful, even though it is your children paying for BTO. You will still have to sell your flat within 6 months upon key collection of the BTO.
6) So the answer is clear that you won't be allowed to keep your existing flat once you got the BTO.
