Can my mother in law upgrade her current 3 room hdb with my wife? My wife currently does not own any property but I do own a private apartment.

Evening,

You are married hence your wife and you are considered as one entity. For your wife to purchase HDB unit with her mum, without including you into the ownership is not possible. However, they are eligible to purchase private property.
