Hi, yes you could do so but your wife still must sell away her overseas property or to transfer it if both of you intend to purchase a HDB flat.

Hi,

1) To purchase a resale flat, you need to fulfill the eligibility requirement spelled by HDB.
2) If your spouse is a foreigner, she cannot be an owner.
3) Joint tenancy and tenancy-in-common is the way of owning property. There are no specific rules or regulations forbidden you from choosing any of them.
4) Once any of the (3) is selected, she shall be owner.
5) Do note that you are not allowed to own any residential property in or outside of Singapore. This is to encourage people with better financial status to choose private property instead of subsidized flat.
6) You are to dispose any residential property in or out of Singapore within 6 months upon purchasing a HDB flat.

Yes, you can purchase under Tenancy-in-Common if she's a Citizen or a SPR.

However, she will still have to dispose off all residential properties (local and overseas) latest within 6 months upon the HDB purchase.

If her overseas properties are meant for own stay and not for investment/rental purposes, she might want to appeal to HDB. Decision will be based on a case-by-case basis.
