Yes you can purchase resale EC if you own a private condo. Please note relevant ABSD and loan LTV applies as its the 2nd residential property. Thanks and hope to value-add to your plans further.

But do take note that there will be cooling measures that are applicable to your second property purchase such as additional buyer's stamp duty, loan to value restriction and usage of CPF OA funds if you had utilised in current condo.

Resale EC are considered as semi-private property. Hence you will not be restricted from the purchase. However, do note that ABSD of 7 to 10% is payable depending on your citizenship status.

Hi Andrew,
Yes. You may purchase a resale EC while holding on to your private property. Resale EC is a wise choice as they are usually priced lower as compared to private condos within the same location and therefore it is a better investment as rental yields are higher.
However, do note that additional buyer stamp duty is applicable and there may be restriction in getting loan and limitations when using your CPF.
