Good morning Sir,

You can buy a RESALE HDB only, not eligible to apply for BTO.

Up to executive masionette also no issue.

But do take note that you will have to dispose off your private property within 6 months from resale HDB purchase completion date, wont be able to hold on to private property.

If both you and wife are SPR for more than 3 years, both of you will be able to purchase a resale flat. However, under the current rules and regulations, you will need to sell off your private property within 6 months of purchasing the HDB.

If you are looking to buy a 2nd property, you can consider decoupling to free up one of your names and purchase another private property instead.

Do take note that ABSD is payable, and you will be required to sell off your private properties (local and overseas) latest within 6 months upon the HDB flat purchase.

Hi,

1) Yes, you are eligible to buy any HDB flat from 2-rm to 5-rm, EA & EM in the resale market.
2) You just need to sell your private property within 6 months upon key collection of the HDB flat.
3) The current policy is both you and your wife must have held on to the SPR status for a minimum of 3 yrs. Do note not only one of you but both.
4) You are also subject to 5% ABSD on top of the normal ~3% BSD on the purchase. Because it is understood that you have to sell off private property upon completion, therefore, your ABSD is based on your 1st property and not the 2nd.

5) Note that you are not given the privilege to remit after paying the stamp duty.
