Can I buy a condo if I'm single and below 35? Assuming a resale 3BR condo unit around Bedok/Tanah Merah area, what would be the approx I'd have to pay for downpayment and monthly loan repayment assuming a tenure of 15 years? Thinking of earning monthly rental income from this.

Hi,

Yes its possible to purchase as long as your finances are comfortable. It depends on the purchase price. Downpayment and stamp duties are approx 23% of purchase price, assuming you take 80% loan.

Yes, you may purchase a resale/new condo as long as your financially allowed.
Assuming that you are Singapore Citizen and the loan is 80%, the downpayment would be 23% including stamp duties (15% can be pay by CPF/cash + 5% cash + 3% stamp duty by CPF/cash) Do take note, there would be additional buyer stamp duty of 5% and 15% according for SPR and foreigner.

It depends on how much you can borrow so it is ideal if you can do a in principal approval first to find out the max loan you will be eligible for.

Tanah Merah area has a few developments that are worth considering. One exmaple is The Glades which has just been completed.
