Foreigners are allowed to purchase a non-landed private property (eg condo) in Singapore. However 60% ABSD (additional tax on the purchase price or value of the property whichever is higher) applies. Under FTA, nationals or permanent residents of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland or nationals of USA are exempted from paying ABSD.
