You may wish to direct this question to HDB/CPF instead since they are the authorities to disburse the grants. Have you taken any housing grants before? Did you own any private properties before?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 14 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

Hi,

1) According to the current HDB policy, the SC must be at or above 35 years old to be eligible for the Single Citizen grant when buying under the Non-Resident Family scheme.
2) The grant is only available to a single citizen who meets the age requirement for buying an HDB flat under the Single Citizen scheme.
3) Thus, although you are buying under a different scheme. This does not alter the fact that you are the sole owner of the flat.
4) A foreigner cannot be an owner of an HDB flat.
5) I believe this is the main reason for the eligibility of the grant.
6) You may direct your question to the HDB as they are the ones who set the policy.
7) The same grant eligibility is also applicable to the Non-Resident Spouse Scheme.
8) The CPF Housing grant (Families) is only applicable to SC/SC and SC/SPR married couples and families. You must be eligible for the CPF Housing Grant (Families) to be eligible for the EHG.
9) Under the Non-Resident Spouse scheme is eligible for the PHG even if the SC is under the age of 35 years old. However, this does not apply to the Non-Resident Family Scheme.

Please give me a thumbs-up if the answer provided is relevant to your main concern. Thanks!!!
