Hi,
If you want to buy a resale HDB, you got to sell your condo and wait 15months before you can buy a resale HDB flat, if you are below 55 years old.

Hi Sir/Mdm,

Under the current regulations, you need to sell off your condo, wait out 15 months, before you are allowed to purchase resale HDB. If you are 55 years old and above, you can purchase resale HDB 4-room or smaller straightaway after condo sale no issue, and need not wait out 15 months.

No ABSD is applicable since you are required to sell off your condo when you purchase resale HDB.

No, you are not allowed to do so. Even if you sell your condo, you will still need to wait out a period of 15 months before you are eligible to purchase a resale HDB unless you are 55 years old or above, then you are eligible to purchase a resale 4 room flat or smaller after your sale.

Hi,

1) As an SC, you may buy a private residential property upon completion of your HDB MOP.
2) However, this process is not vice versa; meaning owning a private residential property than buying an HDB flat.
3) Under the latest policy implemented on Sep 2022. You have to observe a 15-month wait-out period after selling your condo before being eligible to buy a resale HDB flat.
4) If you intend to apply for a BTO/SBF, you will have to observe a 30-month wait-out period instead.
5) This has nothing to do with IRAS stamp duty. It is the HDB policy in this case.
