Hi,

1) Your lawyer should be the one advising this.
2) Under normal situation, your application for CPF reimbursement application should be submitted immediately together with the BSD payment.
3) You should receive the reimbursement around 2~3 weeks upon completion.

All The Best!!!

Your lawyer should be able to advise better. Draw down period for CPF likely between 2-3 weeks but can differ. Read More

After you’ve paid the Buyer’s Stamp Duty in cash for a resale condo, this is how it typically works in practice:

• When to submit CPF OA reimbursement
The reimbursement request is usually submitted after completion, once the property is legally transferred into your name. Your conveyancing lawyer will handle this as part of the completion paperwork. You don’t submit it immediately after paying BSD.

• When the cash refund is issued
Once CPF approves the reimbursement, the refunded amount is released via cashier’s order, usually within 1–2 weeks after completion. In some cases it can be slightly faster, but budgeting for about 2 weeks is safe.

Key thing to note:
The refund is not instant, so if cashflow is tight around completion, you should still plan with a buffer.

If you want, I can help you map out a simple cashflow timeline from option exercise to completion, so there are no surprises along the way.
