Hi,

1) and 2) There is no requirement for you to sell off your overseas property if you take up Citizenship.

3) You are not eligible to apply for a BTO HDB flat if you currently own and overseas property. You will have to dispose the property, and wait-out a period of 30 months before being eligible to apply for a BTO, provided you meet all the other eligibility conditions under one of the many Eligibility Schemes.

You can however purchase a HDB resale flat if you meet the Eligibility conditions. You will have to dispose off all interests in private properties (local and overseas) within 6 months upon the HDB flat purchase.

Hi,

1) Under ICA current policy for citizen conversion has to dispose of their overseas property.
2) If you plan to apply for BTO/SBF after receiving your citizenship then it is advisable to sell your overseas property as soon as possible.
3) There is a wait-out period of 30 months after selling/transfer of interest before eligible to apply for BTO/SBF if you own any private residential property local and/or overseas.
4) However, if your plan is to purchase a resale HDB flat, then you can sell it within 6 months upon key collection of the purchase.
