1. Are there restrictions against foreigners buying property in Singapore ? I am interested in purchasing older HDB flats, condos, or BTOs, with 2 bedrooms. I am a Filipino citizen and presently a resident of Manila.

Dear Buyer,
Only citizens and SPR qualify to buy HDB flats. Foreigners can only buy private apartments or condos. As such, if you are keen to invest in Singapore, there is an additional levy of 20% above the market prices which most foreigners have to pay upfront.

As a foreigner, you are not eligible to purchase HDB flats in Singapore. You can only purchase private non-landed residential properties in Singapore.

Do that note that ABSD of 20% applies for foreigners purchasing residential properties in Singapore.

However foreigner will be eligible to buy condo.
2. Foreigners can even qualify for a mortgage in Singapore if meet certain requirements.
